What we believe about
Christian Counselling
We believe in the relevancy of what the Word of God teaches us today about any and all challenges we are facing today. In Christian Counselling, we explore and seek deeper and true understanding - of our core identity in Christ, the foundations of our faith, and the tension between the world we live in and the truth of God’s Word. Christian counselling is a place to bring your real-life laments, struggles, and heartache. It's a space to not only seek refuge in the Strong Tower but to understand why and how.

That said, Theology and evidenced-based counselling strategies from the world of Psychology are not opposing forces. Rather, we believe that God has given us grace to understand all true things. Christian counselling does not dismiss external sources of wisdom, instead it critically examines them through the lens of what the Scriptures teach and incorporates them into the treatment of the counselling relationship.
Wisdom
in Relationship
Counselling is an exchange of wisdom in relationship. When we share our innermost struggles, we want to know that the recipient in that sacred moment is receiving and responding with their trust in the wisdom of the God of the Bible.

When the authority of Scripture is the absolute foundation in a conversation between believers, the God who made you, knows you, and loves you can and will redeem you. When the Holy Spirit is invited, revelation is inevitable.

Doctrine of the
Holy Spirit
We believe that the doctrine of the Holy Spirit is vital in Christian counselling. Reading from the bible and applying biblical principles is insufficient without the work, ministry, and effective rendering of the Holy Spirit. He convicts, indwells, teaches, empowers, gifts, and glorifies in the work of Christian counselling. We invite the Holy Spirit to continue His good work in you.
